Personal Tours / Sightseeing Tours from 1 hour to All Day
We can take you sightseeing in and around Invercargill, or further afield, for an hourly rate for up to 10 passengers. Remember our price is by the vehicle, not by the seat. You can tour for an hour or a day - you choose.
Tour 1 - City Sightseeing
Duration approx. 1 hour
This tour includes Queens Park, Rose Gardens, Museum and the Peter Pan Statuary Group sculpted by Sir Charles Wheeler, the President to the Royal Academy, Waihopai Scenic Reserve, Suburban Homes, Anderson Park Art Gallery, the former home of Sir Robert and Lady Anderson, which is surrounded by extensive lawns and native bush.
Tour 2 - Bluff
Duration approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Just a 20 minute drive from Invercargill, Bluff is the oldest European town in New Zealand. The port of Bluff was constructed in the 1950's and was completely man-made, currently over 2 million tonnes of cargo is handles each year.
At the beginning of State Highway 1, you will find the most photographed signpost in NZ. Up Bluff Hill where you can see the Aluminium Smelter at Tiwai Point, Stewart Island and Foveaux Straight, home of the famous Bluff Oysters.
Tour 3 - Western District Round Trip
Duration approx. 5 hours
This tour includes Thornbury Vintage Farm machinery Museum, Riverton seaside resort and Taramea Bay. A visit to the Early Settlers museum which shows the history of Southland, Colac Bay and Orepuki where gold was discovered in the black sands of its beach in 1865.
Then continue to Tuatapere, built on the majestic Waiau River, before going to Clifden's Historic Suspension Bridge. Next stop Otautau before returning home via Winton, a friendly town filled with beautiful gardens, supporting and supported by the diverse farming industry around it, coming past the Alliance Freezing Company complex on your return to Invercargill.
Tour 4 - Catlins Coast
Duration approx. 6 hours
A round trip of approx. 300km, the Catlins is the place where the native forests meet the water's edge. See stunning waterfalls and river valleys, rocky bays, estuaries and inlets that meet the Pacific Ocean. Of great significance is the fossilised forest over 60 million years old at Curio Bay and the Cathedral Caves, best viewed at low tide. Also includes other places of interest like Waipapa light house, the Seal Colony at Nugget Point and bush walks.
